Crazy For Cupcakes

Hi Stampers! Today I'm sharing some projects that are showcasing the Crazy For Cupcakes stamp set and the Sweet Always Designer Series Paper. The projects were offered by fellow Demonstrator Angie Juda over at ChicNScratch. She provided all the materials to make the projects, I just had to stamp the images and assemble. It was lots of fun, quick and the projects were adorable!

Remember, the Crazy for Cupcakes set along with other Birthday sets are on sale at 20% OFF during Stampin' Up!'s Birthday Celebration! This promotion ends on Friday, Oct. 31 (that's two days from now!) so don't delay!! Click the flyer on the right for more details. Email me, call me or place an order online to take advantage of this great deal!

This adorable Party Favor Bag was easy to make and came out soo cute! The cupcakes were stamped in Chocolate Chip ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock. I then colored the image using the Blender Pens and Chocolate Chip ink for the liners, Pink Pirouette ink for the icing and the cherries with Rose Red ink. I also used Crytal Effects (first time ever and Loved It!) to give the cherries some added shine and dimension. The bag itself is just a small white craft bag that was trimmed to fit into the Pink Pirouette Cardstock. Isn't it great!?

All Supplies Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette, Rose Romance
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Shimmery White, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Blender Pens, Crystal Effects, Rectangle Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, 1/4" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Scotch Tape, Small White Craft Bag, Velcro

Another great project that I made was this coaster clipboard and ruler. I hadn't worked with the coasters before and let me tell you it was easy peasy to cover it with the Designer Series Paper and definitely want to do some more of these projects for Christmas! The paper is just torn out from a mini memo pad from Staples and the top was trimmed down to the first line and then I stamped the balloon from the Crazy for Cupcakes set. It was stamped in Chocolate chip and colored in with Pink Pirouette ink using the blender pen. The binder clip was also decorated with a strip of the Sweet Always Designer Series Paper and then attached ribbons to it. The ruler was even easier! Just apply some Crystal Effects to the Designer Series Paper, adhere it to the book of the ruler and TA DA!

All Supplies Stampin' Up! Unless otherwise noted (Coaster Clipboard)
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes
Ink: Pink Pirouette and Chocolate Chip
Paper: Sweet Alwasy Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Binder Clip (Non Stampin' Up!), Rectangle Coaster (Non Stampin' Up!), 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, 1/4" Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, 20 sheets of notebook paper (Non Stampin' Up!), Sanding Block

Ink: None
Paper: Sweet Always Designer Series Paper
Accessories: View Thru Ruler (Non Stampin' Up!), Bone Folder, Crystal Effects

These last two bags were also quick and easy to assemble and used only a piece of cardstock or Designer Series Paper each, to make into bags. The first is a cupcake treat bag made out of Pink Pirouette cardstock. The cupcake is again from the Crazy for Cupcakes set and is stamped onto Shimmery White Cardstock using Black StazOn Ink. This ink is a solvent ink that does not bleed when using the watercoloring technique to color in your images. The cupcake was colored in using Blender pens an Chocolate Chip ink for the liner and sprinkles, Pink Pirouette for the icing and Rose Red for the other sprinkles. The candle flame was colored in with Barely Banana ink and then I applied the 2-way Glue Pen to the candle and sprinkled some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter over it. The bag is then held shut using a piece of Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon and Voila!
And last but not least is the Baskets and Blooms Basket. This is made using the Basket and Blooms Die Cut and the Big Shot! I don't have the Big Shot yet but bet it's on my Christmas Wishlist (hint, hint). When you run the die through the Big Shot it cuts out the 2 sides of the basket and the bottom for you, and even has score lines on the paper! Isn't that great! Doesn't get any easier than that! I used Sticky Strip to assemble the box and then attached the Pink Grosgrain Ribbon and C'est Fini! Cute, quick and easy!

Lety's Workshop Share

Hi Stampers! First of all I'd like to apologize for not posting in a while. For you L.A. residents you know that the Dodgers were battling against the Phillies to make it to the World Series. So, all my time has gone to watch my Dodgers play and hopefully win. Unfortunately, our dreams of making it to the World Series were shattered yesterday with the devastating loss against the Phillies. Well, at least now I'll have more free time to stamp! That is unless I get distracted by the USC Trojans football or the 49ers or the Colts. Hee,hee.

Anywho, last Saturday was my friend Lety's workshop. It was lots of fun and she did great in sales, earning $60 in FREE merchandise along with 4 FREE stamp sets! Isn't that great! Contact me if you'd like to host your own workshop and earn FREE merchandise and STAMPS just like Lety!!

Below are the the 3 projects we made: a gift card holder and two cards. The gift card holder was made using the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set (Love it!) which is currently 20% off! Contact me or click on the flyer at the right for more information. Lety saw the gift card holder that we did at Christine's Workshop here and loved it so she asked to do one at her Workshop. We stamped the noisemaker from the set in Chocolate Chip ink on the Chocolate Chip cardstock. Then layered Bella Rose Designer Series Paper, Riding Hood Red and Whisper White. The cupcakes were also stamped in Chocolate Chip Ink and colored in using Blender Pens. We then tied the gift card holder closed with Pink Pirouette Grosgrain Ribbon.

Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White and Bella Rose Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Blender Pens, Word Window Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Pink Pirouette Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

This next card is a Christmas card that Lety also requested and asked if we could use the Snow Swirled Stamp Set. I CASEd this card from someone over at SCS but I can't remember who. As soon as I find out I will give them credit for creating such a lovely card. I really love this Christmas set and the In Color combinations look great! The ladies at the party really liked the colors as well. You can't tell in my sample, but we layered the Christmas tree on Ski Slope Designer Series Paper. I cut mine a little too short but believe me it's there! I think if I do this card again, I will add Dazzling Diamonds to it. Of course we decorated the envelopes as well!

All Supplies Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Snow Swirled
Inks: Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Ski Slope Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals

The final project we did was a greeting card, per Lety's request as well. I decided to use some more "masculine" colors because I know how hard it can be to make a card for the special guy in your life. The flowers and sentiment are from the Upsy Daisy Stamp set (Love It!) which is one of my favorites of the new catalog! We stamped the flowers in Going Gray Ink first then used a sponge dauber and dabbed it in Night of Navy Ink. We then took the the dauber and dabbed directly onto the stamp to add some of the Night of Navy onto the flowers and stamped it on Whisper White Cardstock. Again, the ladies loved this technique! I love when I get "Ooh's and Ahh's" at workshops don't you? The striped paper is from the Banbury Designer Series Paper. And don't forget the matching stamped envelope as well!

Lastly, here are the pictures of the wonderful ladies who attended Lety's Workshop, stampin' away and having fun!

Thanks for stopping by today! I will be working on Halloween Projects for the next few days so stayed tune for those. Good Night!

Big Bold Banbury Bday

I created this card in particular for my best friend Jose's 33rd birthday. (Happy Birthday Jose!!) I was going for a masculine look of course (which is hard since I have mostly flowers and such for my stamp sets), so I used the New Banbury Designer Series Paper. This paper is double-sided so you have lots of designs to choose from which is great! Plus, this card follows the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge on Mary Jo's Techno Stamper Blog. This is the first time I've ever tried a sketch challenge and it was fun and easy to do. Really helped me create this card in a jiffy. I will definitely be doing more of these sketches in the future!!

All Supplies Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Big Bold Birthday
Paper: Bashful Blue, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White, Banbury Designer Series Paper
Ink: Bashful Blue, Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals

Just a reminder you can purchase the Big Bold Birthday Set at 20% off with a purchase of $20. Contact me to place your order! Also, you have until Oct. 11 to take advantage of signing up as a Demonstrator for only $99!! Click the flyer on the right for more details. Call or email me if you'd like to join my team!

Somi's 2nd Birthday

Hi Stampers! Sorry for the delay in posting but I've been busy watching the Dodgers play and win in the NL Division Series! It was so exciting to watch them win and move on to the NL Championship Series vs. the Phillies. It's been 20 years since the Dodgers made it to the post season and the excitement is in the air!! Go Dodgers!!!

On Saturday it was my "niece's" 2nd Birthday. The party was a circus theme and although it rained here in Los Angeles, the party was lots of fun and the children still stayed outside in the Jumper and played in the rain. It was lots of fun! Below is the card that I made for her birthday using a retired set called, Fairies. This was one of my favorite sets and I was sad to see it retired but I still use for personal projects, since I can't use it at workshops. It is basically the same as the Flight of the Butterfly card I posted here, but I changed the main image, flipped the layout around and used the Birthday Embossing Folder with the Cuttlebug to emboss the Pink Pirouette Card. I colored in the image using the Blender Pens and all of the New In Colors. The mushroom was colored in with Creamy Caramel, the dirt and faerie's hair with Chocolate Chip. I think there's something missing, a ribbon perhaps but I still liked the way it turned out. I've also shared some pictures below of myself and friends at Somi's Birthday.

All Supplies Stampin' Up! (unless otherwise noted)
Stamps: Fairies
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Bella Rose Designer Series Paper, Whisper White
Ink: Jet Black Staz-On Ink, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Creamy Carmel, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Paper Piercing Tool, Blender Pens, Stampin Dimensionals, Birthday Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug), Cuttlebug Machine

Here's the Birthday Girl Somi and her Mom and Dad, Angelica and Isom.

Above is a train that was rented for the party to go along with the Circus theme. It was lots of fun having the train drive us up and down the street. And of course the children loved it!

The pictures above are of one of our other best friends, Roz with her two boys RJ and Roman. Aren't they cute!?

This is George (Christine's husband) and their son George Jr. in the middle. He looks so small on the train but he enjoyed it.

Here's a picture of myself and Roman going for a ride on the train. He loves trains (Thomas and Friends in particular) so he could not get enough of riding on this train!

This is Roz and I, don't we look lovely? Hee,hee.

Somi and the clown that was their painting faces and doing magic tricks. I'm not sure why Somi was so serious in most of her pictures because she is such a cute, fun loving little girl. Maybe she was tired...

Last picture of Somi getting ready to blow out her Birthday Candles.

That's it for tonight. I have to go back to work on some other birthday cards I need to make as well as some projects for a workshop that I'll be having on Saturday. Plus Heroes is on and I don't want to miss a minute of it! Have a good night and Happy Stampin'!
