Medallion Scrapbook Page

Hello and Happy Thursday! Woohoo, the weekend is almost here and that means I get a whole week off before going back to set up the classroom for the Fall school year! Yay! That means I get lots of time to stamp with my new goodies from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I can't wait! :o)

Today I'm sharing one of the scrapbook pages we did at Marcella's house back in July. I was supposed to share this one sooner but I got busy with Convention and all. So here it is. Hope you like it, it was lots of fun and quick and easy to make!

We used the NEW stamps, Circle Circus and the Medallion Background Stamp. Both of these are quickly becoming my new favorite stamps from the NEW Catalog. Okay, who am I kidding, they ARE my favorite! LOL For this scrapbook page we used Chocolate Chip 12x12 Cardstock, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango and Whisper White. We stamped the Whisper White strip in several of the NEW In Colors. The strip of the Dusty Durango was stamped with White Craft Ink and adhered to the Chocolate Chip Cardstock with a Jumbo Pewter Brad. Lastly, the Medallion was stamped in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink to give it a tone on tone look.

Here's a close-up of the Title and the Medallion. Isn't it lovely? I kind of didn't ink up the Medallion enough but I still like the way it turned out. To me it gives kind of an Antique-y Look. ;o)

Well that's it for today. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stampin'!

For All You Do...

Hi Stampers!

Yay, I finally have some projects to share with you this week. WooHoo!! I had some free time this weekend so I did some stamping, most importantly I worked on my Convention Card Swaps. I'll be leaving to the Stampin' Up! Convention in Utah in one week. I am sooo excited!!!

So the first share I have for today is actually a scrapbook page I made at my 2nd level upline's house, Marcella. You can check out her blog by CLICKING HERE. Several of Marcella's downline have signed up for a monthly Demo Scrapbooking Club held at her home. The page I'm sharing today is one of two 12x12 double page spreads that she designed for us. I loved this page and the colors so much!

I apologize for the poor lighting in the pictures, but I had a difficult time photographing these pages even though I used my OTT lamp and it was the middle of the day! The set we used to complete the pages was the brand new For All You Do stamp set. I am in love with this set. I know I have lots of butterfly sets but I just love butterflies! It's the closest thing Stampin' Up! has to faeries so I have to buy them all. Hee,hee.

Here's a shot of the first page, I really liked this layout a lot. The little square pieces were like making a puzzle. LOL But it was fun and easy to put together.

Here is a close-up of the stamped images that were used from the For All You Do Stamp Set. The colors used were Rich Razzleberry (New In Color), Orchid Opulence, Pale Plum and Old Olive. Don't they all work well together? And the butterfly, I just love the butterfly with the little spots on it!

Now here's the second page in the layout. Also lots of fun to make. The beautiful DSP that was used to make the small squares is the brand New Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper. I fell in love with this paper!

Lastly, here is a close-up of the embellishments on this page. "July" was spelled out using the On Board Loads of Letters and we colored them in with a watercolor brush and Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink Refill. It was so easy to color them and they dry fast! The jumbo eyelet is from the Retired Soho Designer Hardware Collection. You can't really see what the eyelet says but it is "Fab-u-lous adjective, amazingly good; wonderful; superb. I really liked adding that touch to the page. The flowers were also stamped in Rich Razzleberry Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock, then cut out using the Paper Snips and then adhered to the page with Stampin' Dimensionals.

All Supplies Stampin' Up!

I hope you enjoyed looking at these pages. Check back on Tuesday, I'll be sharing the double page spread we made at Marcella's. Don't forget, now is a great time to join my Stampin' Up! Team/Family and start earning some extra income. CLICK HERE for all the details!

Diana's Workshop Samples

Evening Stampers! Tonight, I'll be sharing the three projects that we did at Diana's Workshop last Saturday. She requested that we do a Scrapbook Page, Thanksgiving Name Place Setting and a Gift Card Holder. Of course, I obliged. So below are the projects I came up with. Enjoy!

This is a 6x6 Scrapbook Page that I CASED from the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator site just changed it by using different stamps than the ones listed. I started off by stamping the Riding Hood Red strip with the gift image from the Party Hearty Set, thinking I would make a Birthday Page. But then after stamping that image and trying to decide what colors to choose for the cupcake image I changed my mind and went for a Christmas Page instead. The set I chose to use was the Punch Pals Set. But since I had already stamped the gift, I left that part as it was but had the guests choose their own image from the Punch Pals set to stamp onto the Riding Hood Red piece, using Riding Hood Red ink. The tree image is also from the Punch Pals set and I stamped it in Old Olive ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock and punched out with the 1-3/8" Circle Punch. I used the White Metal Edge tage but just removed the white paper and attached the Christmas tree to the tag. I then took a piece of Riding Hood Red Cardstock and punched out the circle using the Scallop Circle Punch and adhered them together.

For the title I stamped just the word "Christmas" from the Heard from the Heart set by coloring it in using an Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker onto the Baja Breeze Cardstock. The bottom edge of the cardstock was made using the Scallop Edge Punch. Finally, I attached the Riding Hood Red to the far right of the Baja Breeze, then tied the Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon around the Old Olive piece. I attached that just above the scallop edge. Last I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the Christmas Tree tag to the right side of the page. Quick and easy huh?

All Supplies Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Punch Pals, Party Hearty
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Old Olive
Paper: Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Old Olive, Whisper White
Accessories: 1-3/8" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker, Stampin Dimensionals

First of all, I'd like to apologize for the glare on this picture, it's the best picture I could take. This was another quick and easy project that we made, and it's made using a Black Medium Sized Binder Clip! I cut 2 strips of the Autumn Vine Designer Series Paper and attached them to the front and back for th Binder Clip to cover it. Then I stamped the pumpkin from the Happy Blessings set onto a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock and punched it out using the 1" Circle Punch. It was colored in using the Blender Pens and Pumpkin Pie Ink, Old Olive Ink and Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker. Then using the 1-1/4" Circle Punch I punched out a circle from a scrap piece of Old Olive Cardstock and attached the pumpkin to this piece. To attach this to the clip I used mini glue dots.

The name tag was made by cutting a piece of the Really Rust Cardstock and Whisper White Cardstock and layering them together. The small pumpkin, acorn and leaf are also from the Happy Blessings set, they're actually a part of the hay image! All I did was color in that specific part of the stamp using a Chocoloate Chip Stampin' Write marker and stamping it onto the Whisper White! I then used Blender Pens to color in the images using Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Creamy Caramel Ink. Easy, Peasy! The final step is to tie a piece of Only Orange1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon around the Binder Clip and sliding in the name tag.

All Supplies Stampin' Up! (Unless otherwise noted)
Stamps: Happy Blessings
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Old Olive, Really Rust, Whisper White, Autumn Vine Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker, Blender Pens, 1" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1/4" Only Orange Grosgrain Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots, Binder Clips (Office Depot)

Again, I apologize for the poor quality of this picture. I don't know why it's so dark but the one I took that was not dark was too blurry and I took it like a thousand times! LOL The ladies loved this gift card holder a lot and I sold a lot of the supplies used to make this. I got the idea from the wonderful Dawn Griffith! She has great video tutorials on her site, so check it out when you have the chance. This was made using a piece of Whisper White Cardstock that is scored and punched using the Word Window Punch to make a slot for the gift card.
I used the Corner Rounder Punch to round the corners of the Ski Slope Designer Series Paper and the front flap of the holder. I attached two pieces of the Ski Slope DP, one to the flap and one to the front of the holder. I then used Real Red ink and Stamped Season's Greetings from the Snow Swirled Set on the bottom right corner. I then stamped the tree from the same set in Kiwi Kiss Ink onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and layered it onto a piece of Real Red Cardstock. Lastly, I stamped the snowflake in Baja Breeze Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and punched it out using the Snow Blossom Punch and adhered it to the Christmas Tree image using Stampin' Dimensionals. Another quick and easy project!

Sunday Workshop Projects

Hi Stampers! As promised, here are the pictures of the projects we made at my workshop this past Sunday. It was at my best friend Christine's house, we've been friends since freshman year in Highschool, that's 17 years! Open Mouth Wow how time flies!! It was lots of fun, and 2 of the girls there were new to stamping and to Stampin' Up! so it was a blast to hear them "Ooh" and "Ahh" over the catalog and the projects we made! One of the girls is even hoping to have a workshop in November so cross your fingers! Plus Christine is thinking of having a Catalog Workshop in October as well. WooHoo!! If you're interested in having an In-Home Workshop or a Catalog Workshop feel free to call or email me. As a reminder, you can now order directly from me Online 24/7 through my Stampin' Up! website. Okay, enough chatter, on to the projects!

This is a gift card holder that we made using the Big Bold Birthday Stamp Set (which will be on sale along with other birthday stamp sets for 20% off in October to celebrate Stampin' Up's 20th Birthday. Contact me for more information.) The tutorial for this gift card holder can be found on Patty Bennett's here. We used Baja Breeze (one of the In Colors) for the card, and stamped the balloon and party blower in Baja Breeze Ink. The cupcake liner and sprinkles were also stamped in Baja Breeze. The frosting for the cupcake was stamped on Whisper White Cardstock in Tangerine Tango and cut out and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. This was then layered onto Tangerine Tango Cardstock, also an In Color. Then we slipped the 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon behind the cupcake image and tied it off. The girls loved it! Oh, one quick side note: the circle I used to punch the slot was the 1-1/4" Circle punch but it should be the 1/2" circle punch. Mine was not working properly so I had to improvise.

All Supplies Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Big Bold Birthday
Paper: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango
Ink: Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango
Accessories: 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon, Word Window Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals

Christine has gotten into scrapbooking ever since Baby George was born so she wanted one of the projects to be a scrapbook page. I decided to make it a 6x6 scrapbook page to give the girls there an idea of how to get started with scrapbooking. We used the Dreams Du Jour Set along with some more of the In Colors, this time Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss. Also used Bella Rose Designer Series Paper and the New Scallop Square Punch. The butterflies are stamped in Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red. The Love You image was stamped in Chocolate Chip and colored in with Blender Pens, also using Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss ink and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. This layout was CASED from the Workshop templates available to Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.

All Supplies Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Dreams Du Jour
Paper: Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and Bella Rose Designer Series Paper
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss
Accessories: Scallop Square Punch, Blender Pens, 1/4" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

This last card was made using the set Flight of the Butterfly. Again we used more of the In Colors, this time Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, and Kiwi Kiss along with Bella Rose Designer Series Paper. I didn't realize until after the workshop that I used only the In Colors for these projects! I believe this was a CASE from Kai Ulani, one of the girls from the Udderly Awesome group. We used the New Scallop Edge Punch to add the scallops on the Riding Hood Red square. We also stamped the little flower from the set in Pink Piroutte on the right side of the card. I used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for the first time at a workshop and they loved it! We used it to add the dotted Riding Hood Red Layer on the Pink Pirouette butterfly. The sentiment was stamped in Basic Black and the small butterfly was stamped in Riding Hood Red, cut out and adhered with Stampin Dimensionals. I also decorated my envelope and encouraged the girls to do the same, after all the envelope is also part of the presentation!

Paper: Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Bella Rose Designer Series Paper
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Basic Black

Here are some pictures of the Girls hard at work on their projects but having fun!

And here they are individually showing their version of my Flight of the Butterfly card. As you can see they all decided to add their own take on the card, which is by all means fine by me! I encourage all my workshop attendees to think outside the box so to speak, and feel free to creat their card however they would like. I really want them to get their creative juices flowing! Smile
