Baby Shower Favors

Happy Mother's Day Stampers! I hope you all spent a wonderful day honoring your moms or yourself if you are a mother. What would we be without our wonderful, supportive and loving mothers? I for one would like to thank my mom for her continual love and support for the past 33 years and I hope to have many more years with her...

Today, I'm sharing some Baby Shower Favors and Centerpieces that I made for a baby shower. My cousin ordered these for her boyfriend's sister. The theme was Jungle Safari so I knew exactly what set I wanted to use right away! Fox and Friends of course. My two fave images are the monkey and the owl. Of course, I couldn't use the owl since he doesn't fit the theme, but I love owls so I hope to use it soon! ;o)

Okay, on to the projects. Enjoy!!

Here's a group shot of the favors and the centerpieces. The colors used were So Saffron, Bashful Blue and Mint Melody.

Close-up of the favors.

Here's a picture of the Centerpieces. The jars I found at Wal-Mart and I filled the jars and the favors with Animal Crackers of course! The ribbon was bought by the Mommy to Be so I have no idea where she purchased it. But it matched her theme.

This is one of the favors I made. This one was the one made in Bashful Blue Cardstock and matching ink. The little box was made using the Petal Card Bigz Die for the Big Shot.

This is a top view of the favor box. I used the Small Flat Cello Bags to fill with the Animal Crackers. Everything was tied together with the Linen Thread and I attached a tag to each. The three images I used were the monkey, giraffe and the lion.

March Workshop Cards- Part 3

Hi Stampers!

Here is the 3rd and final card from my March Workshop. I think this one was my favorite of the three. I'll let you judge for yourself...

So what do you think, isn't it gorgeous!? I love the glitter on the paper (already comes like that!) and the delicate embossing on the butterflies! Plus, the colors all work good together as well. The background paper is from the oh so beautiful Sending Love Designer Series Paper that is available from the Occasion Mini Catalog until the end of April. You do not want to miss out on ordering this paper, it is gorgeous!

The edge on the Chocolate Chip Cardstock strip was made using Scallop Trim Border Punch that you were able to earn for FREE during Sale-A-Bration. The Pretty In Pink Corduroy Buttons look great with a piece of linen thread tied through it doesn't it? And the Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Well Scripted stamp set (Occasions Mini) and is stamped in Chocolate Chip.

Here's a close-up of the butterflies and the paper. If you can't really see the glitter on the DSP, I apologize. But trust me it is beautiful in real life! I love, love, love the Stampin' Up! Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die. It's so easy to use and it cuts out the butterflies and embosses them at the same time! The gals loved when they saw how this work and how easy it was!

Technique Hostess Club Projects

Good evening Stampers!

Sorry for the delay in posts but I haven't had the strength or energy to post or stamp for the past week. I had been out sick with Tonsillitis since Sunday of last week! I am finally feeling better, don't have all my energy back yet but I'm definitely feeling better...

Today, I'll be sharing some projects that we made last month at my upline Yolie's, house for her Technique Hostess Club. These projects were so quick and easy to make, my favorite kind!

This card showcases the brand new Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack and the coordinating Sweet Pea Stitched Felt Flowers, which I love! These flowers add such a nice touch to your cards and you get 52 pieces in a pack for only $7.95! You can't beat that!! Let me apologize for the odd colors in the pictures. I didn't realize that they were so off. As soon as I can, I will re-take the pictures and re-post them. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from the Well Scripted set from the Occasions Mini Catalog. The card base is actually Old Olive, though in the picture it looks like Always Artichoke. A piece of the Sweet Pea DSP was layered on a piece of So Saffron which is found in the stripes of the DSP.

Here is a close-up of the Pretty in Pink Sweet Pea Stitched Felt Flower and it was attached to the Whisper White Square using Mini Glue Dots. The scallop border around the square piece of Whisper White was made using the Scallop Trim Corner Punch from the Occasions Mini and the Scallop Trim Border Punch, which you can earn for FREE during Sale-A-Bration! In case you want to make this scallop frame square piece, your paper needs to measure 2-7/8".

All Supplies Stampin' Up! (unless otherwise indicated)
Stamps: Well Scripted
Ink: Old Olive
Paper: Old Olive, Whisper White, So Saffron, Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack
Accessories: Sweet Pea Stitched Felt Flowers, Scallop Trim Corner Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Mini Glue Dots

This next card was quick and easy, and I love the look of it! The card base is Chocolate Chip Cardstock, with a stip of Rose Red. The colors here, also play off of the strip of Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper.

Here is a close-up of the details on the card. As you can see, the bottom half of the card is a piece of Whisper White Cardstock that was embossed using the NEW Stampin' Up! Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder, from the Occasions Mini. The medallion is an image from the Vintage Labels set, that is FREE during SAB. It was stamped in Rose Red ink onto Pretty In Pink Cardstock and then punched out using the Scallop Circle Punch and the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. The image behind the medallion is stamped in Chocolate Chip and punched out using the 1-3/8" Circle Punch. The "For You" sentiment is also from the Vintage Labels set and was stamped in Rose Red ink. Lastly, the ribbon is the NEW Pretty In Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon from the Occasions Mini (have you noticed a theme yet?). ;o)

Stamps: Vintage Labels
Ink: Rose Red, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Whisper White, Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, Stampin' Up! Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder, Big Shot, Pretty In Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon

And finally, the last card! Don't you just love the flower? I thought it was going to be complicated to make, but boy was I wrong. The cardbase here is Kraft Cardstock, and there is a piece of So Saffron adhered to the inside bottom of the card. The bottom of the cardbase is punched with the Scallop Border Punch and then pierced with the Paper Piercer. The stem is made out of a piece of Always Artichoke Cardstock and then tie a piece of Always Artichoke Grosgrain Ribbon for the "leaves". The "Friend to Friend" sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set. .

This is a close-up of the flower. So, does it look hard to do? Well, trust me, it was easy peasy lemon squeezy! It is made using four flowers punched out of Elegant Eggplant Cardstock using the Five Petal Punch! You just layer three of the flowers, curling the petals up with your bone folder first and then the last flower you fold the petals in and adhere it closed using glue dots. You attach this to the center of the flower and then add a So Saffron button to the middle of it using Mini Glue Dots. Voila, you have a flower! :o)

Sending Love Workshops

Edited to Add: Supplies list is now added for each project.

Hi Stampers!

Last month I had two "Sending Love" workshops in my home that was based around new items in the Occasions Mini Catalog. All projects were Valentine themed just in time to order supplies to create Valentine gifts! I had a good turn out and it was lots of fun. But, since I've never done two workshops in one weekend (one on Saturday and one on Sunday) I was pretty exhausted afterwards. Even still, it was fun catching up with some old customers and meeting new ones!

Here are the projects, enjoy!

Here is the first card we made. It uses the brand new I {Heart} Hearts stamp set. Remember that with every purchase of this set, $2 is donated to the Haiti Relief Fund. This set is available in wood mounted or in our NEW Clear Mounted Stamps! The beautiful background papers we used are also brand new and from the Occasions Mini Catalog. It is the Sending Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. I fell in love with this paper as soon as I saw it. The designs are beautiful and it has glitter! Lastly, we used the brand new Pinking Hearts Border Punch on the bottom part of the Real Red DSP.

Here's a close-up of the DSP and the hearts. I hope you can see the sparkly glitter on the paper, its beautiful! All four hearts were cut out and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. Also, you can see a close up of the Pinking Hearts Border Punch. Aren't the tiny little hearts cute?

This is the second card we made at my Sending Love Workshop. This card uses the brand new stamp set, Well-Scripted (available in wood mount or NEW clear mount) and the beautiful Sweet Pea Stitched Felt Flowers. Both of these items are from the Occasions Mini Catalog. The background paper is also another sheet from the Sending Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Here's a close-up of the card. The colors I used were taken from the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt Flowr itself. The main card base and the "Love You Much" sentiment are both Rose Red, the same as the flower. The Scallop Border Punch was used on a strip of Chocolate Chip Cardstock.

Sorry, I'm not sure why the background in this picture looks blue...but here's a picture of the final project we made. It was made using the Fancy Favor Box Bigz XL die, the Build-A-Bear Die and the BAB Valentine's Day Sizzlets. It was so quick and easy to make! And isn't the box and bear just cute!? I fell in love with the cute little bear...

Here's a top view of the box, it was filled with real red paper strips that were crimped and then filled with Valentine Heart Chocolates.

Holiday Mini ShoeBox Swap Part 1

Hi Stampers!

I can't believe it's Friday already! How quickly this week has gone by. Luckily, I had today off because we worked hard this week cleaning and setting up the classroom for the return of all the children on Monday. Woohoo, it's going to be an interesting year! :o)

Today I'll be sharing two out of nine projects that we made last month at a Holiday Mini ShoeBox Swap my upline, Yolie held for us at her house. I couldn't stay the whole time but boy was it fun!

The above card is the one I made. If you don't know by now, my favorite holiday is Halloween. I own tons of Halloween sets many retired, that I will never part with because I just love them too much. I enjoy everything about Halloween, the colors, costumes, treats, decorations, etc. So of course I had to make a Halloween card using the NEW Sweet Centers Stamp Set and the NEW Halloween DSP, Cast-A-Spell. I actually saw this card on Becky Robert's site Inking Idaho, and knew right away that I wanted to CASE it. I decided not to use the leaves because it would be too time consuming for everyone to stamp and cut out so many leaves. Of course, Becky's card is a lot more detailed but I still love the way my card came out and hope you do too.

All Supplies Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Sweet Centers
Ink: Black Staz-On Ink
Paper: Perfect Plum, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Cast-A-Spell Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, 1" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Paper Piercing Tool, Stampin' Dimensionals, Paper Snips

This next card was made by Maria Carillo, She CASED this card directly from the Holiday Mini. She used the NEW Halloween Set Twick or Tweet and coordinating Jumbo Stampin' Around Wheel, Haunting Hill. She also used the brand new Specialty DSP from the Holiday Mini, Night & Day. Isn't it cute? I love it!

All Supplies Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Twick Or Tweet

Accessories: Pumpkin Pie 1/2″ Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Linen Thread, Pumpkin Pie Corduroy Buttons; Chit Chat Rub‐Ons; Stampin’ Dimensionals; Sizzix Big Shot; Top Note Bigz die

Well, that's all for today stampers. Have a great Friday and Happy Stampin'!

Good Morning Sunshine Box

Hi Stampers!
Today I'm sharing the 3rd and final project that we made at my Upline Yolanda's house at the beginning of June. Wow, I can't believe we have only 8 more days left in June! Time sure is flying by fast! Pretty soon I'll be in Utah for the Stampin' Up! Convention! WooHoo!!

That reminds me, you only have 8 more days to order from the Occasions Mini Catalog as well as to order retired sets and accessories from the Last Chance List. Click on the image at the left of my blog to view the Mini Catalog. Click here to see the Last Chance Lists and the updated Accessories List.

Okay, now on to the project. We made an adorable box using the Good Morning Sunshine Designer Series Paper (I love this paper and the birds!) and the Box #2 Bigz XL Die for the Big Shot. This box actually came together very quickly and the result is adorable!

These birds are just so cute! The DSP matches the Cheep Talk set, which I want to buy so it is on my wishlist. I sure will miss this DSP when it's gone at the end of the month. :o( The tag was made by punching out a Scallop Circle out of Old Olive Cardstock. I then used my piercing tool to add holes in each scallop. I then punched out a 1-3/8" circle out of Chocolate Chip Cardstock and a 1-1/4" Circle out of a scrap of the Good Morning Sunshine Designer Series Paper. I then stamped the "For You" sentiment from the All Holidays Set in Chocolate Chip Ink. Oh, the first two circles are attached with SNAIL and then attached to the Old Olive Scallop Circle with Stampin' Dimensionals. I then tied a piece of So Saffron 7/8" Poly-Twill Ribbon around the box and attached the tag to it using Linen Thread.

Here's a side view of the box.

Here's a view of the box opened. You can see the little birds on the inside when the box is opened. Isn't it cute?

Here is a top view of the box showing the contents of the box. We were able to fit 3 Ferraro Rocher chocolates in the box. Yummy! You put a gift card instead of chocolates in the box or anything else you might want to fit into it. I hope you enjoyed this box as much as I did! :o)

Delicate Dots SAB Scallop Bag

Good Evening Stampers! My goodness, it sure has felt like Spring here the past few days. The weather has been so beautiful and warm lately that the children at my Preschool have been enjoying a lot of water play. It's been lots of fun being able to go outside without layers of clothing to keep us warm!

Okay, enough chit chat on to the project. Here is the 3rd and final project we made at Yolie's Workshop. This was my very first time making one of the 3D items using the Bigz XL Dies and the Big Shot. This particular bag was made using the Bag With Scallops Bigz XL Die. It was die cut out using the Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog. We then stamped the Scalloped image from the Polka Dot Punches Sale-A-Bration set in Whisper White Craft Ink onto Bashful Blue Cardstock. This was then punched out using the Scallop Circle Punch. We then used the Be Happy sentiment from the Darling Dots Stamp Set (FREE Level 1 Hostess Set), and stamped it onto Whisper White Cardstock using Certainly Celery ink. It was then punched out using the 1" Circle Punch and layered onto the Scallop Circle using Stampin' Dimensionals. The final step was tying the 1/4" Bashful Blue Grosgrain Ribbon. Another quick and easy project thanks to the Big Shot and the Bigz XL Dies! :o)

All Supplies Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Polka Dot Punches, Darling Dots
Ink: Whisper White Craft Ink, Certainly Celery
Paper: Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper, Whisper White, Bashful Blue
Accessories: 1/4" Bashful Blue Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Bag With Scallops Bigz XL Die, Big Shot

Okay, that's it for tonight! Have fun, and remember only 2 weeks left for Sale-A-Bration. Happy Stampin'!

Fresh Cuts Tote

Hi Stampers! I started feeling a little under weather last night when I got home, and unfortunately I had to cancel my workshops for this weekend. I didn't want to, but my body has been really achy and I've had a headache all day today. So apologize for the inconvenience and I hope to reschedule soon! Okay, now on to the project.

The final project we made at Sandy's Fresh Cuts workshop was this cute little tote to hold the Fresh Cut Notes. You could give this away by itself or include it with all the Fresh Cut Notes, as a gift. It is made out of three pieces of the Tea Party Designer Series Paper. The instructions Sandy provided for us were very easy to follow and so this little tote was quick and easy to assemble. We punched out the top of the tote using the brand NEW Eyelet Border Punch. It's similar to the Scallop Edge Punch and adds a very nice and elegant look to your cards and projects.

The front of the tote is decorated with just the front piece of the Fresh Cut Notes card. We again used the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plate for the front of the card and attached a piece of the Tea Party Designer Series Paper to the back of it, peeking through the flower. The flower is embellished with the flower image from the coordinating Fresh Cuts Stamp Set, which was stamped onto Almost Amethyst Cardstock and then cut out. It is attached using a Purple Rhinestone Brad. This is all layered to a piece of So Saffron Cardstock and then we tied a piece of the dyed 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon around the card and tucked it under the front flaps of the tote. The handles for the tote also uses the 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon which was dyed using Almost Amethyst ink. That's it! Your little tote is now ready to be given away!

All Supplies Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Fresh Cuts
Ink: Almost Amethyst
Paper: So Saffron, Tea Party Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Fresh Cut Notes, Circle Ice Rhinestone Brads, Eyelet Border Punch, Paper Piercing Tool, Stampin' Dimensionals, Whisper White Taffetta Ribbon, Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates, Big Shot

Tune in tomorrow, I'll be sharing some projects my Upline Yolanda had for us to make at her last Hostess Club Workshop. Have a great Saturday!

Fresh Cuts Card #4

Hi Stampers! Here is the final card we made from the Fresh Cuts Class. Isn't it a beauty?! This is meant to be a Wedding Card, and is absolutely my favorite card of the four we made that night. As with all the other cards, this one is another quick and easy card to put together. Again, the front of the card was embossed using the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates and the Big Shot. We also attached a flower from the Pretties Kit using the mini glue dots and adhered a half pearl also from the Pretties Kit, with a mini glue dot. The sentiment was stamped using the Silver Encore Ink Pad.

I'm not sure if you can see the detail of the Dazzling Diamonds we added to peek through the flowers so here's a close up. I hope you are able to see it better. It is really beautiful in real life! :o) This was also very easy to accomplish! We attached a square piece of Sticky Sheet to the front of the card removing both sides of the sticky sheet so that on the inside of the card we could layer a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to cover the Sticky Sheet. Then on the front of the card, the Sticky Sheet peeked through the petals of the flower and we sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds on it. The last step was to tie the 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon around the front of the card and voila! You now have a quick and easy, yet elegant Wedding Card!

Ink: Silver Encore Ink Pad
Paper: Whisper White
Accessories: Pretties Kit, Dazzling Diamonds, 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates, Big Shot, Sticky Sheets, Mini Glue Dots

Unfortunately, due to last minute plans I was unable to attend the Spaghetti Factory Meeting for the UdderlyAwesome Demonstrator group. :o( However, later on this week I will be posting a picture of the card I had made for the swap. As a reminder, I will be having a workshop this weekend, you can attend either March 14 or March 15. Click on my Calendar of Events on the left for more details and contact me if you have any questions of if you'd like to RSVP!

Fresh Cuts Card #3

Hi Stampers! Today I am sharing with you the third card we made at Sandy's house for her Fresh Cuts Class. For this particular card, we used the Fresh Cut Notes and the coordinating stamp set, Fresh Cuts. To be honest, I've had this set for a year now and never used it but after making this card I love it! The front panel on the Fresh Cut Notes is stamped with the background image from the Fresh Cuts Stamp Set, in Pink Pirouette Ink. The Pink Pirouette Cardstock peeking through the flower is embossed once again with the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plate. We also stamped the small flower from the Fresh Cuts Stamp Set onto Pink Pirouette Cardstock and cut it out. It was then adhered to the front of the flower with a small White Brad. The final step was to tie the Whisper White Organza Ribbon around the front panel. That's it! Easy right?

All Supplies Stampin’ Up!
Stamps:
Fresh Cuts
Ink: Pink Pirouette
Paper: Pink Pirouette
Accessories: Fresh Cuts Notes, Big Shot, Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates, 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon, White Brads

I'm attending a Demonstrator Meeting for members and guests of the UdderlyAwesome group and I am looking forward to it. It is my first time attending so I am excited to see all the demonstrations and take some pictures! We'll also be participating in a Card Swap so I'll post pictures of my cards and those I receive, some time next week.

Have a wonderful Saturday and Happy Stampin'!

P.S. I almost forgot: I'll be having a Sale-A-Bration Workshop on Saturday March 14 and/or Sunday March 15. Please click on my calendar of events for more details or contact me if you have any questions or would like to RSVP. Thanks!

Fresh Cuts Card #2

Hi Stampers! Sorry I didn't post last night like I had planned, but things have been pretty hectic since I am in the last few weeks of my Winter Quarter at school. Anyhow, enough about me, let's get on to the card!
This is card #2 that we made at Sandy Hancock's Fresh Cuts Class, isn't it lovely? The background of the Fresh Cuts Notecard is again done using the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plate. I then adhered a piece of the Urban Garden Designer Series Paper to the inside of the card. I also punched a 1/2" Circle out of Kiwi Kiss Cardstock and adhered it to the front of the card using a Silver Brad. The last touch is the 3/8" Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon tied around the front of the card. That's it! Quick and easy.

Fresh Cuts Class Card #1

Hi Stampers!

I attended this Fresh Cuts Class held at the home of Sandy Hancock's house. She is a fellow demonstrator and I am part of her first five levels of downline, and a member of her UdderlyAwesome Stampin' Group. Sandy also has a blog, so click here to check out some of her work.

Below is a picture of the projects we made. We actually made five cards and a cute little bag/tote to hold them. Unfortunately, I needed a quick birthday card for a friend so I gave it to her before getting a chance to take a picture of it with the others. Hence, the picture below only has four cards plus the bag.

I had a lot of fun making these cards using the Fresh Cut Notes, and they were so fast and easy to put together. Plus, I got to use the Big Shot and the new Big Shot Texturz Plates! These were super easy to use and really add an extra touch of elegance to your cardstock.

This first card is one of my favorites that we made that night because of the colors. The ribbon we used was the NEW 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon. To dye the card, you simply drag the ribbon across the Almost Amethyst Classic Ink Pad using a sponge dauber. You do this to both sides of the ribbon, for several strokes, depending on how saturated you want your ribbon to be.
The background of the Fresh Cut Notes was done using the flower Texturz Plate from the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1. The Designer Series Paper that you see peeking through from behind the note card is from the Tea Party Designer Series Paper Pack. The small flower is from the Fresh Cuts stamp set, stamped onto Almost Amethyst cardstock and then cut out. It is adhered to the front of the card with a Lilac Circle Ice Brad. Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy! :o)
