Tinkerbell Movie

Hi Stampers,
Sorry but I haven't had a chance to stamp lately, been too busy. However, I do have to make a few Thank You cards and Birthday Cards so I'll be working on some of those in the next few days. So as soon as I have some completed I promise I will share them. I went to the L.A. County Fair yesterday and had such a good time. I loved seeing all the Farm Animals, watching Piglet Races, cows getting milked, eating lots of yummy food (Turkey Legs and Roasted Corn) as well as "shopping." I did take my camera and there were lots of things to take pictures of, but I left the battery at home! So sadly, there are no pictures. I did take a picture of a Barn Owl with my cell phone. It was so big and beautiful, I've never seen one before! If it comes out well I will post here tomorrow.

As promised here are some pictures of me posing with several Tinkerbell posters, etc. while at the Tinkerbell at the El Capitan Theater. Loved the movie and actually want to see it again because I missed the stage show and Tinkerbell appearance. Crying

Below are some pictures of a car that was at the parking lot behind El Capitan Theater. I am not sure but I'm guessing it might belong to a Disney employe because it was decorated both inside and out with Disney decor. Sorry for the poor quality in the pictures, but the sun was very bright that day.

Have a good night and Happy Stampin'!

More Covention Swap Pics

Hi Stampers! Here are some more of the swaps that I received at Convention this year. I may be posting some more pictures of swaps later on. Also, I went to the TinkerBell Movie last night ( I've loved TinkerBell since I was a little girl and am ecstatic to see all the things that are now available of her that weren't when I was little!) It was a cute movie, but then again I am biased so of course I loved it. I'll try to post some pictures I took of that day. Good night and Happy Stampin'.

Sunday Workshop Projects

Hi Stampers! As promised, here are the pictures of the projects we made at my workshop this past Sunday. It was at my best friend Christine's house, we've been friends since freshman year in Highschool, that's 17 years! Open Mouth Wow how time flies!! It was lots of fun, and 2 of the girls there were new to stamping and to Stampin' Up! so it was a blast to hear them "Ooh" and "Ahh" over the catalog and the projects we made! One of the girls is even hoping to have a workshop in November so cross your fingers! Plus Christine is thinking of having a Catalog Workshop in October as well. WooHoo!! If you're interested in having an In-Home Workshop or a Catalog Workshop feel free to call or email me. As a reminder, you can now order directly from me Online 24/7 through my Stampin' Up! website. Okay, enough chatter, on to the projects!

This is a gift card holder that we made using the Big Bold Birthday Stamp Set (which will be on sale along with other birthday stamp sets for 20% off in October to celebrate Stampin' Up's 20th Birthday. Contact me for more information.) The tutorial for this gift card holder can be found on Patty Bennett's here. We used Baja Breeze (one of the In Colors) for the card, and stamped the balloon and party blower in Baja Breeze Ink. The cupcake liner and sprinkles were also stamped in Baja Breeze. The frosting for the cupcake was stamped on Whisper White Cardstock in Tangerine Tango and cut out and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. This was then layered onto Tangerine Tango Cardstock, also an In Color. Then we slipped the 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon behind the cupcake image and tied it off. The girls loved it! Oh, one quick side note: the circle I used to punch the slot was the 1-1/4" Circle punch but it should be the 1/2" circle punch. Mine was not working properly so I had to improvise.

All Supplies Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Big Bold Birthday
Paper: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango
Ink: Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango
Accessories: 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon, Word Window Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals

Christine has gotten into scrapbooking ever since Baby George was born so she wanted one of the projects to be a scrapbook page. I decided to make it a 6x6 scrapbook page to give the girls there an idea of how to get started with scrapbooking. We used the Dreams Du Jour Set along with some more of the In Colors, this time Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss. Also used Bella Rose Designer Series Paper and the New Scallop Square Punch. The butterflies are stamped in Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red. The Love You image was stamped in Chocolate Chip and colored in with Blender Pens, also using Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss ink and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. This layout was CASED from the Workshop templates available to Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.

Stamps: Dreams Du Jour
Paper: Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and Bella Rose Designer Series Paper
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss
Accessories: Scallop Square Punch, Blender Pens, 1/4" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

This last card was made using the set Flight of the Butterfly. Again we used more of the In Colors, this time Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, and Kiwi Kiss along with Bella Rose Designer Series Paper. I didn't realize until after the workshop that I used only the In Colors for these projects! I believe this was a CASE from Kai Ulani, one of the girls from the Udderly Awesome group. We used the New Scallop Edge Punch to add the scallops on the Riding Hood Red square. We also stamped the little flower from the set in Pink Piroutte on the right side of the card. I used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for the first time at a workshop and they loved it! We used it to add the dotted Riding Hood Red Layer on the Pink Pirouette butterfly. The sentiment was stamped in Basic Black and the small butterfly was stamped in Riding Hood Red, cut out and adhered with Stampin Dimensionals. I also decorated my envelope and encouraged the girls to do the same, after all the envelope is also part of the presentation!

Paper: Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Bella Rose Designer Series Paper

Here are some pictures of the Girls hard at work on their projects but having fun!

And here they are individually showing their version of my Flight of the Butterfly card. As you can see they all decided to add their own take on the card, which is by all means fine by me! I encourage all my workshop attendees to think outside the box so to speak, and feel free to creat their card however they would like. I really want them to get their creative juices flowing! Smile

Kaylie's Beach Pail

Good Evening Stampers, I'm back! I've had a crazy week or so which is why I have been late with my posts lately. I hope to catch up with all by tomorrow night. This past Saturday was Kaylie's (my niece) 2nd Birthday. It was a beach theme so I decorated some beach pails for her. These were filled with candy and party blowers and given out as the party favors. They weren't fancy by any means but still cute! I used ribbon bought at Michael's to tie around the pails, Martha Stewart Rub-ons also from Michael's and the pails were from Party City. I used the Tag from Stampin' Up! and the Layer-Ease to make a larger tag for the layer because I have not yet purchased the larger Stampin' Up! Tag *GASP*. I also used the Calendar Alphabet & Numbers set (which I won at Convention this year! WooHoo!!) to stamp "Kaylie's 2nd Bday" on the tags. The Scallop Circle Punch is layered with the Happy Birthday greeting from the Wow Flowers Set and layered with Dimensionals. I'll have pictures from the workshop I had on Sunday at my BFF (hee, hee) Christine's house. Happy Stampin'!

Hi Stampers!
