Medallion Scrapbook Page

Hello and Happy Thursday! Woohoo, the weekend is almost here and that means I get a whole week off before going back to set up the classroom for the Fall school year! Yay! That means I get lots of time to stamp with my new goodies from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I can't wait! :o)

Today I'm sharing one of the scrapbook pages we did at Marcella's house back in July. I was supposed to share this one sooner but I got busy with Convention and all. So here it is. Hope you like it, it was lots of fun and quick and easy to make!

We used the NEW stamps, Circle Circus and the Medallion Background Stamp. Both of these are quickly becoming my new favorite stamps from the NEW Catalog. Okay, who am I kidding, they ARE my favorite! LOL For this scrapbook page we used Chocolate Chip 12x12 Cardstock, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango and Whisper White. We stamped the Whisper White strip in several of the NEW In Colors. The strip of the Dusty Durango was stamped with White Craft Ink and adhered to the Chocolate Chip Cardstock with a Jumbo Pewter Brad. Lastly, the Medallion was stamped in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink to give it a tone on tone look.

Here's a close-up of the Title and the Medallion. Isn't it lovely? I kind of didn't ink up the Medallion enough but I still like the way it turned out. To me it gives kind of an Antique-y Look. ;o)

Well that's it for today. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stampin'!

Help Lend a Hand...

Hi Stampers!

Sherrill Graff (from the LateNiteStampers Group) is teaming up with SugarDoodle for the 1st Annual Fall Service Project 2009 to help fill the need for cards and blankets for the families served by the Ronald McDonald House Charities. As many of you know, Stampin' Up! sells a Ronald McDonald House stamp set and donates portions to RMHC for each set sold. This is a great charity that helps families who have children that are ill and need to be hospitalized. They provide a temporary home for their families while their children receive treatment. If you are interested in helping out these families you can find important information on the following sites:

Thanks for taking the time to read this. If you would like to help make cards let me know and we can get some groups together and work on making cards for our local Ronald McDonald House here in Pasadena, CA.

Convention Swaps Part 2

Happy Friday Stampers!
Sorry I am behind on my posts but I'm working on some Birthday Invitations for my niece. I will post pictures of them when they're done, and let me tell you they are cute! Anyhow, those invitations have taken up most of my time because I'm hoping to get them done by Sunday. So here are more of the Convention Card Swaps I received, as promised.

I don't have the names of who made the cards for each one, so if you see your card or know who made it please Email Me so I can give them credit for their creations! Enjoy!

Convention Swaps Part 1

Hi Stampers!
Here are the first of the cards that I received from the Convention Swaps! I had lots of fun swapping, and I tried to get as many Halloween cards as I could (it's my fave holiday) but didn't get as many as I had wanted. But I did get some though. :o) I'll be sharing lots more in the next few days, so enjoy!

This card is from the one and only, Angie Juda from Chic N Scratch! I can't believe that I met her, I was so excited. I love her blog and she is so sweet and nice in person. I felt like I was meeting a celebrity! Well, she is a celebrity in the Stampin' Up! blogging world! :o)

This next card was made from a fellow team member, Jemima Galiano. Isn't it beautiful? I love the colors.

This card was made by Michelle Brown. We met her this year at convention, she roomed with some other team members. It was her first convention and first time meeting us all. She was so much fun and so sweet. I am very glad to have met her! :o) I fell in love with this card when I saw it!

This card is also made by Michelle Brown. Don't you just love the colors and the embossed Manhattan flower? I love it!
Remember to stop by tomorrow for more swap pictures!

Happy Stampin'.

Circle Circus Mambo

Happy Monday Stampers!

Today I'm sharing the swap card I made for Convention this year. Unfortunately, I was only able to make 25 cards (last year I made 100!) due to time constraints. But I am determined to make some time next year to make more!

I was inspired to make this card after seeing a medium square card that was made by my up-upline Marcella. She makes beautiful cards and I always try to take my camera whenever I'm over her house to take pictures. You can check out her blog HERE if you'd like to see some of her work. I changed some of the color scheme and didn't use ribbon like she did for her card. I used most of the NEW In Colors for the card (inks and cardstock) and it was fast and easy to do. I am so in love with this NEW Circle Circus set. I wasn't sure about it at first but after seeing so many beautiful samples I fell in love with it! Hope you like it. :o)

Bermuda Bay Pirate

Hi Stampers!
I apologize for my long absence but I was in Salt Lake City, Utah last week for the Stampin' Up! Convention. It's been tough this week getting back to work and catching up on things. However, it was sooo much fun, and I feel so motivated and pumped to get back to building my business and conducting workshops and classes. I will be sharing pictures of the swap I made and the swaps I received at Convention. I will also be sharing pictures of the Make N Takes we did at Convention, which were all great projects!

Today I'm sharing a birthday card I made for my nephew Roman. Today was his 4th Birthday party and so I made him a card with the little boy Pirate image from the retired set, Ahoy Matey. He's very much into swords and stuff so I thought this card was perfect for him.

I used Bermuda Bay cardstock for the card and ribbon (NEW In Color!) and the card itself measures 4x4. I stamped the pirate in Black Staz-On Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and colored it in using the NEW In Color Markers! I love, that Stampin' Up! now has the In Colors in Markers, how great is that!? I used Bermuda Bay for the shirt and Dusty Durango for the pants and the bandana. The eyepatch and shoes were colored in Basic Black and the sword in Basic Grey. The "Happy Birthday"greeting is from the All Holidays Set and was also stamped in Black Staz-On Ink. That's it, quick and easy but I like the way it turned out. Don't you?

All Supplies Stampin' Up!

Ink: Black Staz-On Ink

Stay tuned tomorrow when I'll start sharing the swaps I received during Convention. Also, don't forget the Mini Starter Kit Promotion is still going on through the end of August.
